Crowds of people gathered after the death of children.

Two children, who had gone to bathe in the Kamla river in Katihar district’s Purab Dheua village, died due to drowning. The deceased is 8-year-old Rahmat Raja. While the other 7-year-old Mo Sitbul. Both are residents of the same village. Local people told that both the children had gone to take bath in Kamla Dhar, located next to the village. In order to go into deep water while taking bath, both of them drowned and died.

It has been told that when the children did not return home till late, the family members started searching for both the children. During the search, after finding clothes on the banks of the river Kamala, after a lot of effort, the local people found the bodies of both of them and took them out of Kamala. Both the deceased are from the same village. The father of both the children who died by drowning, somehow supports the whole family by working as a laborer. The house of both the deceased children is in the neighbourhood.

The news of two children drowning together spread like fire in the area. After this, a large number of people gathered at the house of the dead children. As soon as the information was received, the local public representatives, and police force personnel from the police station reached the spot. Everyone consoled the members of the victim’s family. SHO Ramchandra Mandal said that after the paperwork, the bodies of both the children have been sent to Katihar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem along with the police. There was shouting in the village after the incident. At the same time, the people of the village kept expressing grief over the painful incident in a gloomy atmosphere.
