The third wave of corona in UP is becoming frightening. New cases of corona are coming in all 75 districts. A total of 11,089 new infected have been found in the state in the last 24 hours. That is, 462 new cases are being received here every hour. On the other hand, on Tuesday, 5 people died of infection. 1-1 patients have died in Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur Nagar, Gonda, Azamgarh. In the last 11 days, the number of corona infected has increased from 1200 to over 44 thousand. On Tuesday, the maximum number of patients have been found in 1829 Ghaziabad.

At number two was Gautam Budh Nagar, where 1680 cases have been found. A judicial officer and employee have been found corona infected in Gautam Budh Nagar Court. Court will be closed today for sanitization. At the same time, 1444 cases have been found in Lucknow, 905 in Meerut and 436 in Varanasi. On Tuesday, 246 new cases were found in Aligarh. After which the total number has increased to 852. The spread of infection is increasing in the hostel and residential colony of BRD Medical College and AIIMS in Gorakhpur. On Tuesday, 281 new corona infected have been found in the district.

OPD rules changed in PGI

New rules of OPD are being implemented in Lucknow SGPGI from January 13. Patients and their families coming here will have to give RT-PCR negative report within 72 hours. Along with online appointment, COVID report has been made mandatory. In the next one or two days, it will be implemented in KGMU and Lohia Institute also. Read full news here…

  • The OPD will see 20 new patients and 30 old patients per department.
  • Health workers who come in contact with patients will have to maintain social distance, use masks and wash hands regularly.
  • As before, RT-PCR test of Kovid of the patient and a family member is mandatory before the admission of the patient in the ward.
  • Only one family member will be allowed with the patient in OPD, Lab and Ward.
  • As before, priority will be given to medical consultation through e-OPD for new and old patients.
