The Red Jhanda Union has accused the government of ignoring the laborers. A general meeting was organized by the union on Friday.

Himachal Hotel Mazdoor Lal Jhanda Union has accused the government of ignoring the workers. A general meeting was organized by the union on Friday. It was presided over by Union President Balak Ram. On this occasion, CITU District Treasurer Ramakant Mishra spoke on the current political situation. He said that due to Kovid 19, lakhs of laborers of the country and the state had to lose their jobs, but the government did not provide any financial help to the laborers.

On the contrary, the central government has violated the rights of workers by changing 44 labor laws into 4 codes. Due to which the exploitation of laborers has increased day by day. Union General Secretary Vinod Virsanta, while speaking in the meeting, said that about 1600 laborers have been fired from the job due to the Kovid epidemic in Shimla city. None of the hotel and restaurant owners have called the workers to work.

Where 100 laborers used to work, today work is being taken from 50 laborers there. Due to which the laborers are being made to work for 14 to 16 hours. This has increased the exploitation of the workers. There are still many hotel disputes going on in the offices of the Compensation Officers in the Labor Department.
