Corona cases are increasing rapidly in the country. After receiving Omicron’s first case on December 2, around 1900 cases have been received in 23 states. It is believed that Omicron is the reason behind the new cases. As on 3 January last, 37,379 new cases of Kovid-19 have been registered in India. In India, new patients have increased 6 times in the last 6 days.

First understand the condition of the country

Corona cases are increasing continuously in India for the last 7 days. 37,379 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. This is a jump of 10.75 percent in new cases compared to the previous day.

The daily positivity rate in the country has now increased to 3.24 percent and active cases have exceeded 1.70 lakh.

The matter of concern is that 1.29 lakh new cases have been received in the last one week. Whereas in the previous week 47 thousand new cases were received. That is, in a week, the cases have more than doubled.

More than 1800 cases of the new variant Omicron have also been reported in 23 states of the country. Maharashtra has recorded the maximum number of 568 cases. Delhi is at number two with 382 cases. After this, there are 185 cases in Kerala, 174 in Rajasthan, 152 in Gujarat, 121 in Tamil Nadu and 67 in Telangana. Its 766 patients have also been cured.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra has been the hotspot of Corona for a long time. But after the entry of Omicron, the cases here have picked up speed. Maharashtra tops the country with more than 10,000 active cases. Omicron also has the highest number of cases in Maharashtra. Out of 12,160 cases found on January 3, more than 8 thousand are in Mumbai alone.

Madhya Pradesh

308 cases have been found in Madhya Pradesh on 3 January. A day earlier, there were 221 cases in the state. Now the active cases have increased to 1029. Collectors, SDMs and doctors are also included in the infected. Jyotiraditya Scindia’s PA has also come positive. Now the infection rate has increased to 1.85 in the state.

Delhi

On January 3, 4,099 new cases have been found in Delhi. Here the positivity rate has reached an alarming level of 8.37. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has said that more than 81% of the total samples tested on Saturday-Sunday are due to Omicron. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also been infected with Corona. Kejriwal has given this information by tweeting.

Rajasthan

The positivity rate in Rajasthan has reached close to 4%. On January 3, the state has received 550 cases. Of all the active cases in the state, 76 percent are in Jaipur and Jodhpur only. Jaipur has the highest number of 1409, which is about 67.6 percent of the total cases, while Jodhpur has 179 which is 8.6 percent of the total cases.

A state in Eastern India

In Bihar, in the first 3 days of January, Corona broke the record of one month. There were 673 new cases in 31 days of December, then 977 new cases have come in just 3 days of January. Corona, a cook working in the Chief Minister’s residence, has been infected. Many doctors of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital in Patna have also been found positive.

Chhattisgarh

Corona infection is increasing at double the speed in Chhattisgarh. On January 3, 698 new cases of corona have been reported here. In this, 222 cases are included in Raipur alone. Health Minister TS Singhdev was also found corona positive on 2 January. On Monday, 38 jawans were also found positive at the Cobra 202 Battalion Camp in Sukma. 50 students have come positive in IIT Bhilai’s Raipur campus. In the last 4 days, 63 students have been found infected in the Raipur campus of IIT Bhilai.

Gujarat

On January 3, 1259 new cases have been received in Gujarat. For the first time after 7 months, so many cases have been found in a day. The maximum number of 644 cases were in Ahmedabad while Surat remained at number two.

Kerala

Like Maharashtra, Kerala had also remained a hotspot for the last few months, but it is a matter of relief that now new cases have started decreasing here. During December itself, the total cases being received daily have come down to less than half. On December 1, 5,405 new cases were found in Kerala, which had come down to 2,676 by December 31.
