A youth of Nepal origin, who escaped after carrying out the murder incident in Kullu.
A laborer from Bihar was murdered in Himachal Pradesh late on Thursday night. He used to work here in the apple orchard. The allegation is on the Nepali laborer working with him, who is absconding. It is being said that after a drunken brawl, not only did this laborer take his life, but he also escaped after injuring his wife. Police have been informed about this incident on Friday morning, after which the police have started searching for the accused Nepali youth by registering a case along with sending the body to the mortuary.
Khani, falling in the Gadsa valley of Kullu district, and the deceased has been identified as Ramchand of Bihar origin. According to the information received, two Nepali and three Bihari youths used to work in an apple orchard in Khani village. Late on Thursday night, Khadag Bahadur, a Nepali youth living with the family, went to the room of Ramchand and his companion in Bihar living together under the influence of alcohol. He got into an argument with Ramchand over some issue. Ramchand hit Kharag Singh on his head with a griddle. After this, Kharag Bahadur stabbed him twice with a bar. This resulted in the death of Ramchand. After this incident Nepali Kharag Bahadur came to his room. After injuring his wife badly, he fled with his son and daughter.
Parli Panchayat head Raj Malhotra said that the local people informed the police about the incident on Friday morning, then the police reached the spot and sent the body to the mortuary and started investigation. On the other hand, Kullu Superintendent of Police Gurdev Sharma says that he has inspected the spot along with the police team. A case has been registered against the accused Kharag Bahadur and his search has been started.
