In this FIR, the Mumbai Police has filed IPC sections 153-A (promoting discrimination between two communities on religious grounds), 153-B (deliberately trying to hurt religious feelings), 354-D (pursuing), 509 ( Using words or behavior intended to outrage the dignity of a woman) and 500 (criminal defamation). In addition, section 67 of the IT Act (publishing or sending objectionable material in electronic form) has also been included.
Police asked for developer’s information
Delhi Police on Monday morning sought information from the GitHub platform regarding the developer of the dodgy application.
