The third wave of corona epidemic has arrived in the country. Meanwhile, 86,762 new cases of infection were registered in the last 24 hours. During this 323 people have died. The number of active cases has reached 67,652. At the same time, the number of people who have been cured is 18,787.

Omicron patients in the country were 2685
The number of Omicron patients in the country is also increasing rapidly. According to outbreakindia.com, till late Wednesday night, the figure of Omicron patients across the country has increased to 2685. 378 new cases were registered today. At the same time, 935 people have been cured with the new variant, while 1750 people are still under treatment. The highest number of cases of the new variant in the country at 797 have been registered in Maharashtra. Delhi (464) is at number two, Rajasthan (236) at number three, Kerala (234) and Karnataka (225) are at number five with cases at number four.

1. Maharashtra
On Wednesday, 26,538 people were found infected here. 5331 people were cured and 8 people died. So far 67.57 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 65.24 lakh people have been cured, while 1.41 lakh people died. 87, 505 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
2. West Bengal
On Wednesday, 14,022 people were found infected here. 6438 people were cured and 17 people died. So far, 16.78 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 16.25 lakh people have been cured, while 19,827 people died. 33,042 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
3. Delhi
On Wednesday, 10,665 people were found infected here. 2239 people have been cured and 8 deaths have been recorded. So far, 14.74 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 14.25 lakh people have been cured, while 25,121 people died. 23,307 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
4. Kerala
Here on Wednesday, 4801 people were found infected. 1813 people were cured and 29 people died. So far 52.63 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 51.90 lakh people have been cured, while 48,895 people died. 22,910 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
5. Tamil Nadu
On Wednesday, 4862 people were found infected here. 688 people were cured and 9 patients died. So far, more than 27.60 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 27.07 lakh people have been cured, while 36,814 people died. 16,577 patients are currently undergoing treatment.

3. Uttar Pradesh
On Wednesday, 2036 people were found infected here. 51 people were cured and not a single death occurred. So far, more than 17.16 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. 4. Punjab
