Corona LIVE in UP: Chief Secretary and DGP reaching Varanasi today after Omicron explosion, brainstorming on election preparations after getting a record 77 patients

The threat of a new variant of the corona virus is increasing in UP. Omicron has knocked in many districts. Last night, Varanasi has reported the highest number of 77 cases of Omicron. This shocking revelation has come in the results of genome sequencing of 96 samples in BHU’s MRU lab. Fear is haunting everyone due to the horrific increase in the cases of Corona and Omicron in the elections.

The Chief Secretary and DGP are reaching Varanasi on Sunday after Omicron got the maximum number of cases. Here for seven hours, there will be a brainstorming on the preparations for the elections and the increasing cases of Corona-Omicron. There are 1011 active cases of corona in Varanasi.

Chief Secretary and DGP will stay for seven hours
Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and DGP Mukul Goyal will come to Varanasi for 7 hours today. Both the top police and administration officers of the state will review the preparations for the assembly elections in Varanasi. Along with this, both the officers will also discuss with the district and divisional level officers on the preparations to deal with the increasing infection of corona virus.

The Chief Secretary and DGP will take stock of the security arrangements in Shrikashi Vishwanath Dham and the arrangements made for the convenience of the devotees. After this, he will inspect the Kovid Command Control Center at Sigra. District police and administration officials said that our preparations for the assembly elections are almost complete. According to the instructions of both the top officers, necessary reforms will be done. In relation to dealing with corona infection, work will be done by following the instructions of both the officers.

13 children also got infected
On Saturday, 13 children have also been found infected in Varanasi, including children in the age group of 1-14 years. In this, 3 children of 1 year old have also been found corona infected. BHU campus professors, doctors, students, employees, sportspersons etc. are infected. 60% of those infected are men. The most shocking thing is that out of all the patients being found, only 25% of the people are getting symptoms of corona (cold, cough and fever). The rest have no symptoms.

18,551 active cases of corona in UP
Corona has also reached an explosive state after the Omicron explosion. According to Saturday’s figures, the maximum number of 6 thousand 411 new cases of corona have been reported. Maximum 1 thousand 141 cases have been found in Gautam Budh Nagar, 876 in Lucknow, 683 in Ghaziabad, 636 in Meerut and 337 in Varanasi.

Now the active cases in the state have gone up to 18 thousand 551. For the first time in the third wave, 6 patients have died due to infection. The speed of corona is such that in just 8 days, the cases of corona have increased 16 times.
