In comparison to the wildly cremated funerals in the crematoriums, the health department released the figures of corona deaths, questions continued to be raised. When Dainik Bhaskar analyzed the corona deaths recorded in the records of the Health Department and the death certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation in these two months, a big difference has been revealed.

According to the record, 2194 people have died due to corona in the capital including the months of April and May. But in these two months, the Municipal Corporation has issued 5434 death certificates, that is, the number of deaths in the records of the corporation is so much. Not only this, there is also a big difference in the figures of deaths and death certificates in the 5 months of January to May. The analysis also revealed that in these 5 months 2377 people died of corona in the capital. But in the same period, the Municipal Corporation has issued 7709 death certificates. According to municipal records, the month of May this year was the deadliest for the capital in terms of deaths from Corona, as 3972 death certificates were issued from the corporation. Whereas in the records of the Health Department, only 693 deaths from corona are recorded in this entire month. The figures are telling how the second wave of Corona destroyed the houses in the capital, but if we look at the records of the Health Department, this horror could not come to the fore.

In May, 3972 death certificates were issued from the corporation, while the deaths from Corona were 693. We do not say that all other deaths have also happened from Corona. In May last year, 654 death certificates were issued. The difference is 3318. The big difference of death certificate in May makes one to think that after all, how the figures of certificate increased so much in May of this year.

Last year’s deaths only slightly higher than last 5 months
In the 12 months of 2020, about nine and a half thousand death certificates were issued, whereas this year more than seven and a half thousand registrations have been done in just five months. Bhaskar analyzed the death records of the Municipal Corporation not only this year, but last year, as the state’s first corona patient was found in the capital on March 19, 2020. Last year from January to May, 2844 death certificates were issued by the Municipal Corporation in 5 months. Similarly, 9482 death certificates were issued in the capital last year, while this year 7709 certificates have been issued in five months. Experts say that the second wave of corona remained in April-May, so the figures of deaths are also frightening. In fact, it is being said that many people did not come to get checked even after getting infected. Due to which death occurred but it was not recorded in the corona record.

Deaths uploaded directly to the software
The certificate is being accepted immediately after the death report is uploaded in the center’s portal, which people can take from the concerned hospital, corporation or choice center. It is true that a lot of certificates were issued in May, in this context, there have been more deaths.
