District Collector Rajendra Kishan consoled the two children who were orphaned during the Corona period in Jinapur on Saturday. The Collector, while interacting with the children, told about the assistance given by the government in relation to their education and household expenses.

He also directed the officers of Social Justice and Empowerment Department and other departments to benefit all such children from the schemes. The Collector said that during the period of corona infection in the district, there are 13 children who have lost both their parents and have become orphans.

Similarly there are 25 children who have lost one of the parents. On Saturday, on the occasion of Child Labor Prohibition Day, the Collector had directed all the officers, concerned officers to go to their nearest houses in the district and contact them and try to share their misery.

Showing kindness and love, he directed the officers to complete the process and benefit such children by completing whatever benefits can be given under the schemes of the state government. When the collector himself met two children in Jinapur, the sub-divisional officers also came to meet such children in their own subdivision and consoled them. SDM Kapil Sharma, Assistant Director Social Justice and Empowerment Sunil Garg, Child Empowerment Officer Shraddha Gautam were also present along with the Collector.

Similarly, Subdivision Officer Sawai Madhopur Kapil Sharma, Sub Divisional Officer Gangapur Anil Chaudhary and Tehsildar Gyanchand Jaiman, Malarna Dungar Sub Divisional Officer in Jolanda, Baunli SDM in Bonli and other subdivision officers also reached such children and consoled them. .

Chief Minister Corona Child Welfare Scheme

Under the Chief Minister’s Corona Child Welfare Scheme, a lump sum grant of one lakh rupees and two and a half thousand rupees per month till the completion of 18 years to destitute children who have lost both parents or single surviving mother or father due to corona. will be given. A lump sum assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be given to the orphan boy and girl on attaining the age of 18 years.

Facility of education up to class 12th will be provided to such children free of cost through residential schools or hostels. The girl students studying in the college, destitute due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, will be given admission on priority basis in the hostels run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. The destitute students studying in the college will get the benefit of Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme.
