In Pune, Maharashtra, a car driver dragged a traffic police constable for nearly 800 meters by hanging him on the bonnet of the car. The accused driver was arrested on Monday evening after the video of the incident surfaced. He has been booked for violating traffic rules and endangering the life of an on-duty employee and attempt to murder. The incident that happened on Saturday is from Mundwa area of ​​Pune. Constable Sheshrao Jaibhav posted at Mundwa police station was on duty on Saturday afternoon along with some of his associates. Meanwhile, Prashant Sridhar Kantawar (43), a resident of Hadapsar, was seen fast approaching his tax. Seeing them, constable Sheshrao Jaibhav tried to stop him by giving his hand. Sridhar stopped the car, but seeing the constable, he said that ‘not a single constable is of the kind, all are standing here to take money’.

On this, constable Sheshrao Jaibhav asked him for the paper and for not showing it, cut a challan of Rs 400. Before he could get the ride, Sridhar increased his car. Seeing him doing this, Sheshrao Jaibhav stood in front of his car. It is alleged that even after this Prashant did not stop and he tried to mount the car on the constable. After this, Sheshrao Jaibhav jumped on the bonnet of the car to save his life. The constable was sitting on the car and Prashant was moving forward with the car. After going about 800 meters, Prashant somehow dropped Sheshrao Jaibhav from the car and fled.

Arrest happened two days after the incident
After escaping from here, the police kept searching for Sridhar for two days and finally he was arrested on Monday evening. Sridhar, who was arrested, says that he had done so by mistake. Currently, he is in police custody for one day and the police have registered a case of attempt to murder against him.
