Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has announced free travel for women on Rakshabandhan. The effect of this announcement has started from 7 am today and will continue till 7 pm. According to this order, women can come anywhere within Himachal without rent. They will not need any kind of ticket, whereas they will have to pay the fare to go out of the state. Orders have been issued to all the depots in this regard on behalf of HRTC Headquarters, while driver operators have also been told that women will not be charged fare in buses.

Orders have also been issued by the Corporation Management Office to all the drivers and operators that if a woman gives her hand to the government bus anywhere, then it is necessary to stop the bus. If there is a complaint of any driver or operator for not doing so, then action will be taken against him. Many times complaints reach the HRTC officials, that a large number of women were standing at the bus stoppage, but the bus driver did not stop the bus. Because of this, they had to resort to private buses only. In such a situation, keeping these complaints in mind, the HRTC management has issued strict orders this time.

Few people are coming out of their homes during the Corona period

Women are also coming out of their homes, many have sent Rakhi to their brothers through post. Despite that HRTC has arranged free travel for women in all its buses.
