Police have arrested the accused husband Adhish (Left) and his father Ashok (Right).
On the complaint of Kanika, the engineer daughter of a big businessman of Indore city, her husband and father-in-law have been arrested from Pune. Kanika alleges that her in-laws used to give her food by mixing slow poison and mercury. He was beaten for dowry. He used to get his shoes cleaned. Kanika works in an IT company in Pune. Husband Adhish also works in IT company. Kanika has also accused him of snatching her jewelry and cash.
According to TI Tehzeeb Qazi, Kanika used to work in an IT company in Pune. After befriending Adhish, who worked together, the two got married in 2013. Both started living in Sector-27 Nigdi Pune. On Kanika’s allegation, her blood samples have been taken for investigation.
According to Kanika, in dowry, gold and silver and diamond jewellery, guineas, lakhs of rupees were given in cash. Adhish took Bali (abroad) for honeymoon. From there he started arguing. On returning to the in-laws’ house, mother-in-law Neeta, father-in-law Ashok, sister-in-law got the shoes cleaned. If he did not do so, he grabbed the top and pulled and beat him. His mobile was snatched.
Mother-in-law taunts on old car
Kanika alleges that she was pressurized to take up a job to meet her own expenses. Requested a new car. When she refused to keep it in the house, she was compelled to stay at the cousin’s flat. When he came to Pune to meet his parents from Indore, he met him in the restaurant. In November 2019, no one came from the in-laws’ house for the brother’s wedding, but false allegations were made. When the old car from Indore went to Pune with the car, he was taunted. After this there was a lockdown and she turned positive then.

According to Kanika, she was given poisonous substances mixed with food. Gave ayurvedic medicines, which caused excessive bleeding and she died. One day he found empty wrappers, which revealed that he was being given slow poison and mercury. In the case, the police increased the section of giving intoxicants to the accused.
