NEW DELHI: Hyundai Motor India on Friday confirmed India reveal of i20 N Line on August 24 and the launch is scheduled for September.
This also marks the debut of Hyundai’s performance-specced N Line cars in India. The premium hatchback i20, which was given a facelift, will be the first model to come with an N Line badge.
According to media reports, the i20 N Line will be available in three variants in India – N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT. These variants are expected to be based on range-topping Sportz and Asta trims.
Powering the i20 N Line should be a 120-horsepower, three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and transmission duties will be carried out by 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT gearboxes.
While more information is awaited, the N Line cars wear sporty badges, bear athletic colour choices and have retuned mechanicals for better driving prowess.

Even on the inside, the N Line cars have premium seats with sporty feel, minimalistic dashboard and well-throughout creature comforts.
The i20 N Line is expected to ask for a premium of Rs 1-1.5 lakh over the regular i20. Also, Hyundai has hinted at other N Line models for the Indian market.
