The lockdown has been extended for a week for the third time in Bihar. The current restrictions will continue in Lockdown Part-3 from 26 May to 1 June. Only one exemption has been given that now agriculture-related shops, such as manure-seed establishments will be opened every day. Their timings will be from 6 to 10 am in the urban area and 8 to 12 in the morning in the rural area.

Before the lockdown was announced, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reviewed the current state of Corona at a meeting of the Crisis Management Group on Monday morning. Then he also held virtual meetings with both the deputy CMs of Bihar and other ministers. After this, the information about advancing the lockdown was given on social media. He said, ‘The lockdown has had a good effect and corona infection is showing a decrease. Therefore, it has been decided to continue the lockdown in Bihar for a week beyond May 25, till June 1, 2021.

These restrictions will continue till June 1 …

  • All government-private offices will remain closed. Of these, only offices related to essential services are allowed to be opened.
  • All types of vehicles will be closed on the road. Unnecessary walking is also prohibited.
  • All schools / colleges / coaching institutes / training and other educational institutions will remain closed.
  • Government schools / colleges will not have any kind of examination.
  • All religious places, social / political / entertainment / sports / educational / cultural and religious events / ceremonies.
  • Cinema hall, shopping mall, club, swimming pool, stadium, gym, park.
  • Prohibition on any kind of government and private events in public places.

They will get exemption in lockdown …

  • Hospitals and other related health establishments (including animal health). Drug shops, medical labs, nursing homes, ambulance services.
  • Those who sell fruit and vegetables on the cart (6 to 10 am in the city, 8 to 12 am in the villages).
  • Restaurants and food shops from 9 am to 9 pm for home delivery only. Based on the dhaba take home located on NH.
  • Work to be done under MNREGA in rural areas and urban employment scheme in urban areas.

Who are exempted from important government-private services…

  • Offices related to district administration, police, civil defense, power supply, water supply, sanitation, fire brigade, health, disaster management, telecommunications, postal department.
  • Establishments related to banking, insurance, and ATM services, industrial and manufacturing operations. All types of construction works.
  • All activities related to e-commerce, agriculture and allied activities. Cold storage and warehousing services.
  • Print and electronic media, telecommunications, Internet services, broadcasting and cable services.
  • Petrol pumps, LPG, Petroleum related retail and storage establishments. Private Security Services.
  • Essential food items and fruits and vegetables / meat-fish / milk / PDS shops (at different times in rural and urban areas)

They are allowed to go on the road …

  • Will be able to travel by rail and air.
  • Personnel of services involved in essential tasks will be able to leave by private vehicles.
  • Health care related vehicles will be able to run.
  • Required service related government vehicles.
  • Vehicles that have a pass from the district administration.
  • Vehicles traveling interstate will be able to move.

What relaxation in wedding ceremony, funeral / shraadh

Only 20 people will be allowed in weddings. There will be no processions, processions and DJs in it. You have to inform the nearest police station 3 days in advance. 20 people will also be allowed at the funeral.
