NEW DELHI: MG Motor India’s fourth product, which will be revealed on August 18, is a step up in the technology dimension. Astor, a compact-sized SUV, will be artificial intelligence-powered, going a notch above ‘Internet Inside’ features.
The SAIC-backed carmaker earlier this week announced a new tech front, named Concept of Car as a Platform (CAAP) which will feature in upcoming models, starting with the Astor.

MG is working actively with various global ecosystem partners in emerging technologies like Blockchain, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence amongst others to form the support system for CAAP.
This will further enable the development and application of services and subscriptions to support the increasing trend of on-demand in-car needs for the convenience of the customers.

MG’s next-in-line camouflaged test mule was spied that exhibits man-machine interface highlighted with emoticons and AI Inside.
MG Motor India has also entered into a partnership on the Internet of Things (IOT) space with Jio to provide integration of IT systems in its upcoming mid-size SUV.
