Plantation: Plantation done in Dhanda agriculture farm, many plants planted

Plantation week is being celebrated to save the environment at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute Regional Center Dhanda Farm, under which it is being promoted by putting up banners, posters and planting saplings to make people aware of the environment at different places. The program was organized at the center’s office premises at Amartara, Dhanda Farm and Dr. BP Pal Research and Study Center, Shankali.

Dr. SS Sawat, Director, HFRI as the chief guest and Suresh Mann, head of Gram Panchayat, Girv Khurd, were present as the special guest. The program was presided over by Dr. KK Pramanik, President, Indian Agricultural Research Institute Regional Centre. Plants of Prunus species, pomegranate and junifer were planted at Dhanda Farm while fruit trees of Kafal, Bahimi and Chuli were planted at Dr. BP Pal Research and Study Center, Shankali, Shimla.
