In Ludhiana, the largest district of Punjab in terms of population and area, the Health Department is preparing to deal with the third wave of Corona, but it is possible with the mercy of entrepreneurs. In fact, the government has not provided funds for this. The Pediatric Incentive Care Unit has been built by DMC in the Civil Hospital. The mortuary has already been made on behalf of the senses. Even when the work of vaccination started, even the computer has been given by the Sense Trust. Now, 10 PSA (Pressure Swing Absorption) plants of 5415 LPM (Litre Per Minute) capacity are being installed in the district so that the shortage of oxygen is not met. Social service organizations will also spend Rs.10 crore on this.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has recently inaugurated PS A Plant of 1000 LPM capacity at Civil Hospital Ludhiana, 500 LPM at Mother and Child Hospital Vardhman and 250 LPM Samarth at Sub Divisional Hospital Raikot, Raikot. Prior to this, a PSA unit of 700 is running in the government hospital. In the coming time, 1000 LPM Samartha PSA unit is expected to be started in ESI Hospital this month.

The health department is also engaged in meeting the shortage of oxygen in rural areas. For this a PSA unit of 300 LPM is going to be installed at SDH Khanna and 165 LCM at UHC Jawadi. Apart from this, five hundred and five hundred PSA units are also being set up at Sant Baba Ishar Singh Memorial Hospital, CMC Hospital and GTB Charitable Hospital.
