Sent more than 10 thousand notices: CBDT asked the officials – what are the problems in the faceless scheme

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has launched a faceless scheme across the country to make the functioning of the Income Tax Department transparent. After sending scrutiny notices to more than 10,000 taxpayers in Surat this year, the CBDT has now sought suggestions from the Income Tax officials regarding the faceless scheme.

In this, it has been asked about the problems being faced by the taxpayer and the officer, changes and whether this scheme has been implemented properly. Faceless scheme has been started in Surat from the financial year 2020-21. Many taxpayers and CAs had complained.
