The shopkeepers stopped the accused before lighting the lighter. After that he absconded.

In Ballabhgarh, a youth fired from his job tried to burn two shopkeeper brothers by pouring petrol on them. He was about to light the lighter that the shopkeepers pushed him down. By the time the shopkeeper could catch the accused, he got up and fled. Police is probing the incident.

According to the information, Amit Mangala and Harikesh Mangla, originally residents of Palwal, currently live in Mahavir Colony. He has opened a showroom near Gupta Hotel Chowk in the name of Mangala Tiles & Sanitary Ware. It is alleged that after getting upset about the working style of a servant named Sanjeev, he was removed about six months ago. About 2 months back, Sanjeev came to the showroom and started demanding money. He was threatened with a lesson if he refused.

It is said that he reached the shop around 7.30 pm on Friday evening and tried to light the lighter by sprinkling petrol on both the brothers. Then Amit Mangla, showing agility, pushed Sanjeev down and threw him down. The accused fled from the spot. The case has been reported to police. Police reached the house of the accused and searched for him but he could not be found. Police station in-charge Sandeep Kumar says that the matter is being investigated.
