The Municipal Corporation is planning to vaccinate all the people before Diwali. Municipal Commissioner Banchanidhi Pani has directed to complete the target of 100% vaccination before Diwali. With the stock of the vaccine increasing, the remaining 8 lakh people are expected to be given the first dose by Diwali. The Municipal Corporation will also take the help of NGOs to vaccinate more and more people in the city.
Municipal officials have been warned in the review meeting regarding the third wave. The responsibility of vaccination of all the people before Diwali has been given to the zone officers. Vaccine targets have been fixed on the basis of voter list in all zones. Due to less vaccination in Katargam, Udhna zones, it has been reported to build more centers in these areas.
Right now the Municipal Corporation is getting more stock of vaccine. Vaccination has been increased for the last 10 days. At the same time, the second dose is being given to those who have been missed. A second dose has been arranged every Wednesday. Apart from this, vaccines are being administered to students above 18 years of age in universities and colleges. Due to this, vaccination has been done up to 76 percent in the city.
