After a long break, the monsoon has once again become active in the state. Incessant rain has started in the city of Ahmedabad since Saturday morning. On the other hand, the rains continued in South Gujarat. In such a situation, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan festival on Sunday, the Meteorological Department has given a warning of heavy rain in many districts of the state. According to which there may be rain in the middle of the state, north, south Gujarat and 6 districts of Saurashtra.

According to the warning of the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli including Aravalli in North Gujarat, Mahisagar in Central Gujarat, Navsari, Valsad in South Gujarat, Amreli in Saurashtra, Gir-Somnath and Diu on Raksha Bandhan. Along with this, till the next 26th, there may be rain with lightning across the state.

Rain in 129 tehsils on Friday: Monsoon remained kind in 129 tehsils of 24 districts in 24 hours in the state on Friday. In which 5 inches of rain has been recorded in Valsad, Pardi, Dharampur. Liliya, Vapi of Amreli has received more than 4 inches of rain. The state has received 40.40 per cent (339.37 mm) of the season’s total rainfall so far. Whereas in the month of August till August 20, about 42 mm of rain has been recorded.

Valsad district: 4 inches of rain in Umargaon in 18 hours, one and a half inches recorded in Dharampur and Pardi, relief from heat
According to the warning of the Meteorological Department in Valsad district, Megharaja remained kind on Saturday. In the 18 hours from 6 pm on Friday till 12 noon on Saturday, the highest rainfall in Valsad district was 4 inches in Umargaon taluka. Due to which relief is being felt among the farmers dependent on agriculture. There has been continuous rain in 6 tehsils of Valsad district from 6 pm on Friday till Saturday evening. Due to which 4 inches of rain has been recorded in Umargaon taluk, one and a half inches in Pardi and Dharampur talukas. On the other hand, Valsad has recorded one inch and Kaprada and Vapi talukas have recorded half an inch of rain. Due to incessant rains in the district, there is a cool climate in the weather.

Water inflow increased in Madhuban Dam, 2 doors were opened
According to the information, one and a half inches of rain has been recorded in Dharampur and Pardi of the district on Saturday. Whereas in Madhuban Dam due to continuous rain from the upper area, the inflow of water has increased. Madhuban dam is getting 8686 cusecs of water every hour while 10 thousand 293 cusecs of water is being released into Damanganga river every hour by opening 2 doors of the dam up to 1 meter.

Rainfall data in 18 hours: According to the information, in the last 18 hours, Umargaon in the district has recorded 107 mm, Kaprada 15 mm, Dharampur 42 mm, Pardi 40 mm, Valsad 26 mm and Vapi 15 mm. At the same time, along with Valsad district, the continuous rain continues in the Union Territories of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman for the last two days. Due to which the major Damanganga river, including small rivers and nallahs, is also visible in spate.
