A fire broke out in the tents of the deities during the Dussehar festival.

Fire broke out in the tents of 3 deities who arrived for Dussehra festival at Dhalpur ground. In which a loss of 2 lakhs has been estimated. This arson incident came to the country due to a cylinder leak in the deity’s tent. The fire brigade team reached the spot and doused the fire. Due to which a major accident was averted.

The cylinder leaked in a tent of Deity Lomash Rishi Pekhdi Banjar in the ground adjacent to the old State Bank. Suddenly the fire broke out. On seeing Lomash Rishi’s 2 tents, 20 beds, ration, tents and the ghagra cannons of the deity were burnt. In which Lomash Rishi suffered a loss of about one and a half lakhs, while the tent of Tandi Banjar, the sand snake deity adjoining it, was partially burnt. There was also a loss of about 20 thousand in this. While the tent of the thick Durga Bandal Sarchi also got burnt. The said mother also suffered a loss of about 20 thousand. According to the fire department, this arson incident has occurred due to leaking of gas cylinder and the fire department team has brought the fire under control.

In the Kullu Dussehra festival, although the administration and the Dussehra Utsav Committee had made claims of not setting up temporary shops, some street vendors remained frozen in Dhalpur Chowk in spite of that. These pods were not removed even during the Rath Yatra. The result was that when the Rath Yatra passed from here, a crowd of people got caught in these street vendors and due to the crowd, the street vendors fell and some people also got trapped in the road, although they did not get hurt. Here along with Dhalpur Chowk, a juice, chicken and another street vendors were also engaged during the Rath Yatra. Which could have proved fatal for the crowd passing through here. Although every time the footpath is kept empty here, but this time even after the administration’s claim, these pods were not removed even during the Rath Yatra. So during this time some people and women got stuck in these pods due to the crowd.
