26 February 1993. Time – 12:00 to 18 minutes. Location – World Trade Center of New York. A truck full of explosives was parked in the parking of this building. There was a loud explosion in that truck. So strong that a 60-foot-wide and 90-foot-deep crater was hit on the blast site. 6 people died and around 1 thousand people were injured. On this day, 4 terrorists were sentenced to 240 years for this attack.

Preparations for the attack were being made a year in advance. Two terrorists from Pakistan, Ahmed Ejaz and Ramji Yusuf, came to America via fake passports from different flights. Their intention was to demolish the World Trade Center building. Both were arrested at the airport itself. Ijaz was sent to jail after he found explosive material in his suitcase.

Ramji Yusuf, calling himself Iraq, sought political asylum. After some time Joseph is released. After his release Joseph began working on his plan. He lived in a rented room in New Jersey with Mohammed Salameh. Mohammad Salameh was also involved in planning the blast. Joseph also called another of his companions, Iyad. Both of them hired a garage in New Jersey to make the bomb and made a 680 kg bomb in the same garage.

On 23 February 1993, they both rented a truck. Two days later, the theft of this truck was reported to the police so that both could not be suspected. The bomb was placed in this truck. Another partner Mahmud was also associated with them here.

The day of 26 February 1993 was a blast day. On this day, all four trucks were parked in the parking lot of the World Trade Center. The explosion occurred at 12:18 in the afternoon. The terrorists hoped that the building would collapse with such a powerful explosion, but it did not happen. If the building collapsed, the death toll could have been in the thousands.

The four fled their respective countries a few hours after the blast. Within the next two days, the FBI found out from the truck’s chassis number that the truck belonged to a New Jersey rental company. On March 4, Salameh arrived in the United States to collect insurance for the stolen truck. The FBI arrested Salameh. By May, the FBI had all the terrorists involved in the attack, or had a clue.

The case began hearing on 16 September 1993. On this day in 1994, the accused were sentenced to 240 years.

After this, the angry spectators started creating uproar in the stadium. People ran to kill the referee. The police caught an audience and beat them up badly, causing anger and anger. Police fired tear gas shells. There was a fire in the stadium, hundreds of people died due to overcrowding. According to official figures, 328 people were killed, but the actual death toll was much higher. A national mourning was declared for the next 7 days in Peru.
