The Health Department has achieved its target of 55 percent on Tuesday for the second dose of Karena Vaccine in the state. During this, out of 55 lakh 23 thousand eligible people, 30,71,853 people have been given the second dose of Kovid-19 vaccine. Under the Kovid-19 vaccination campaign, district Kinnaur has stood first in the state by achieving the target of 102.8 percent in immunization of the eligible population for the second dose of Kovid-19 vaccine in different districts of the state.

Whereas district Lahaul-Spiti is second by achieving 82.1 percent target while district Solan remains third by achieving 73.6 percent target. Similarly, Bilaspur has 64.7 percent, Chamba district 42.5 percent, District Hamirpur 56.7 percent, District Kangra 51.1 percent, District Kullu 53.6 percent, District Mandi 51.8 percent, District Shimla 60.2 percent, District Sirmour 44% and District Una has achieved the target of 61.3%.

NHM Mission Director Hemraj Berwa has urged all the eligible people who have received the first dose to get their second dose against Kovid-19 at the earliest as soon as the stipulated time period for the second dose is completed. He said that the threat of Corona has not been averted, so even after vaccination, due to the prevention of the Kovid-19 epidemic, following the rules of Kovid-compliant behavior such as maintaining mutual distance, washing hands with soap or cleaning hands with sanitizer and using masks etc. should be strictly followed.
