Weekend Curfew in Delhi: Exemption to Corona Test and Vaccination; Carry ID with you if you leave for important work

To control the rapidly increasing corona cases in Delhi, the Kejriwal government has imposed a weekend curfew. The curfew will continue till 5 am on Monday. During this time people will not be allowed to leave the house unnecessarily. In the last 24 hours in the capital, 17,335 cases of corona have been found in the capital and 9 people have died. At the same time, the positivity rate has also increased to 17.73%.

Keep valid ID card with you if it is necessary

It will be necessary to carry ID with you when you go out for important work during curfew.

If someone has to catch a train, bus or flight during the weekend curfew, then they will be allowed to go to the railway station, bus stand or airport with a valid ticket nearby. Along with this, keep a valid ID card with you before leaving the house for any other important work. Apart from this, it will also be necessary to tell the valid region to the administrative officer.

Pregnant women and patients must have a doctor’s prescription

Officers and employees posted in the offices of foreign diplomats, all doctors, nursing staff and paramedical staff, medical services staff and health service people will be allowed to move with ID and journalists with valid press ID cards.

During the curfew, pregnant women and patients will be allowed to travel on production of a doctor’s slip. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will also hold a meeting on January 10 regarding the arrangements.

There is only weekend curfew, no lockdown

Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar, which used to be crowded during normal days, was completely deserted during the curfew.

Delhi Government Health Minister Satyendar Jain has assured the workers that only weekend curfew has been imposed in Delhi, not lock down. So they don’t need to panic. There is no lockdown in Delhi. The construction work will continue as before. Wearing a mask and following social distancing is the most important way to avoid corona.

Exemption for corona test and vaccination

During the weekend curfew, there will be freedom to travel for corona test or vaccination. Along with this, the students and staff taking the exam will also get a discount. On production of soft or hard copy of the marriage card, 20 persons will be allowed to move in the marriage ceremony.

Apart from essential services, orders for work from home have been issued to all government employees and officers. Whereas, the rule of 50% work from home will be applicable in private institutions. During this bus and metro will run with full capacity.
