Now the government can take a big decision soon to control the continuous increase in prices. The Parliamentary Standing Committee is going to meet on June 17 to stabilize or reduce the prices of petrol and diesel.

Officials of government oil companies will also attend the meeting.
Senior officials of state-owned oil companies Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited will also participate in this meeting of the committee. According to sources, in this meeting, the reason for the rising oil prices, to find a solution will be discussed.

Ramesh Bidhuri, chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Committee, will be the chairman of this standing committee. Information will also be sought in the meeting regarding the current pricing, marketing and supply of petroleum products, natural gas.

Along with petrol, now diesel is also being sold for 100 rupees a liter.
Let us inform that at present one liter of petrol is being sold beyond Rs 100 in seven states of the country. At the same time, in Sri Ganganagar of Rajasthan, even diesel has crossed Rs 100. So far in June, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased 8 times. If we talk about petrol-diesel in the last 1 year, then on June 14, 2020, petrol was at 75.78 and diesel at 74.03, which is now at Rs 96.41 and Rs 87.33 per liter. That is, in the last 1 year itself, petrol has become costlier by Rs 20.63 and diesel by Rs 13.30.
