In this episode, the Yunam peak, which connects the border of Lahaul-Spiti and Ladakh, has been conquered by a team of youth.

A team of 9 climbers led by Virendra Rana of District Kullu successfully climbed the peak. The trek to Yunam Peak, situated at an altitude of 6110 meters above the sea level, is considered to be one of the toughest treks. With the permission of the Indian Mountaineering Association, this team had left Manali on 12 July.

On July 16, at 10:30 in the morning, he reached Yunam Peak and hoisted the tricolor. The special thing in this expedition was that the youngest mountaineer 15-year-old Parikshit Sood was also included in this team, who has become the first young mountaineer to conquer Yunam Peak. There has been an influx of people congratulating Parikshit Sood on social media.

At the same time, by achieving this achievement, class 10 student Parikshit Sood has illuminated the name of Birla Public School Kullu along with Tirthan Valley. Parikshit Sood, son of Panki Sood and Sonu Sood, the owner of the famous Sunshine Cottage in the Tirthan Valley of sub-division Banjar, is very interested in studies as well as adventure sports.

Father Panki Sood told that Parikshit has already climbed Kaya Peak 5150 meters in Tirthan Valley World Heritage Great Himalayan National Park at the age of 13. Apart from this, it also participates in sports like skiing, paragliding, swimming, rappelling. On the other hand, Parikshit Sood says that anything can be achieved with hard practice and high spirits.

Before conquering Yunam Peak, he had also rehearsed for trekking in Tirthan Valley. In which he used to carry 15 kilograms of weight on his back on foot every day for weeks and up-down on the hill of Devkanda. The next target will be to conquer the 7000 meter high mountain. Parikshit Sood gave the credit of success to his parents and teachers.
