Daman’s Vatani and NRI Group London’s Convenor Keshav Batak has written a letter to Administrator Praful Patel in connection with the Daman bridge accident on 28 August 2003. 30 innocent children and people lost their lives in the bridge accident in Daman. But till today they have not got justice. In this context, by writing a letter to the Administrator, as per the order given by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, recovery of fine from the accused and legal action should be taken.
Keshav Batak has said that the negligence of the PWD officials of the administration is clearly visible in this accident. Due to which this accident happened. In this case, according to the order of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the administration should disclose the amount of fine to be recovered from the accused.
