40 people became victims of food poisoning in the Bharat Gaurav Yatra train coming from Chennai to Pune. Passengers alleged that they ate food around 10:45 pm on Tuesday night, after which everyone started vomiting and having diarrhoea.

Passengers complained about this to the railway employees present in the train. First aid was given to passengers at Pune railway station. After this he was admitted to Susun Hospital, Pune. At present the condition of all the passengers is stable.

NCP MP Supriya Sule demanded investigation
NCP MP Supriya Sule wrote on social media platform 40 passengers of the train became victims of food poisoning.

If food was given to the passengers by the Railways then it is necessary to investigate it. Appropriate action should be taken immediately against those responsible. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is requested to look into this matter with full seriousness and take immediate steps for the safety of passengers.

Railways said- Railway or IRCTC staff did not supply food.
Here, regarding the incident, Railways said that all the passengers had ordered food from a private food contractor. Food was not supplied by Railways or IRCTC staff. Immediately after receiving information about the case, late night at Pune Railway Station, 40 staff of Railways and private health agency examined all the passengers. After C’s condition became stable, he was referred to a private hospital.
