The death toll may increase in the coming days

Apart from this, 176 are in ICU and 41 are on ventilator. This count of patients with ventilators is intimidating. On Monday, 2 patients had to be put on ventilator in Bathinda, 6 in Ludhiana and one in Patiala. On Monday itself, a total of 20 corona patients, including 2 each in Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Mohali, 3 in Bathinda, 4 in Patiala and one patient in Pathankot, died.

Situation worsens in Jalandhar and Ludhiana

In Punjab’s Jalandhar and Ludhiana, the situation of Corona has become worse. On Monday, 1,279 new cases were found in Jalandhar. Here the highest positivity rate was 42.48%. Ludhiana remained at number two, where 1,041 cases were found. Apart from these, there are less than one thousand cases in the rest of the districts.

Scary infection rate in Bathinda and Ferozepur

Bathinda and Ferozepur are such districts where the number of patients is definitely less, but the rate of infection here is very high. 337 cases of corona were found in Bathinda, but the positivity rate is 42.28%. In Firozpur too, 154 new cases were found with a positivity rate of 36.84%.
