The historic 144th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Ahmedabad will take place on Monday in the traditional manner amid curfew. Today, on the day of Amas, Lord Jagannath has returned to his temple from maternal uncle’s house. After returning to the temple, the Netrotsav and flag hoisting ceremony was completed. During this, a huge crowd of devotees was seen in the temple. BJP State President CR Patil and Home Minister Pradeep Singh Jadeja also attended the ceremony and offered prayers.

Prasad of black roti (malpua) and dholi dal (milkpak) will be given in the Bhandara.

But this year, due to less number of corona cases, permission has been given to take out Rath Yatra on the traditional route.

The Rath will depart from Jagannath Temple at 7 am and will be located at Kalupur Circle, Prem Darwaza, Delhi Chakla, Shahpur Darwaza, R.C. Passing through High School, Peethadiya Bamba, Pankor Naka, Manek Chowk will return to Nij Mandir by around 12 noon. This journey will be completed in 5 hours.
