For the second time in 47 days, extortion was sought from Baghmara’s coal trader Pramod Singh on Friday. The man, who claims to be Chhotu Singh, demanded Rs 50 lakh from him through an internet call in the name of gangster Aman Singh. He also threatened to die if he did not give. Pramod, son of Jaimangal Singh, resident of Baghmara Thakurbari, has given a written complaint to the Baghmara police station and requested for protection of life and property.

Pramod said in the complaint that on July 8, 2021 at 4:05 pm, a WhatsApp call was received from the number +9133365324, but not received. The call came again on July 9 at 8:47 am, but did not receive it either. Then two messages came. It is written in one – I am Chhotu Singh of Aman Singh Gang. You have to keep Rs 50 lakh ready. You will not have any problem after cooperating in the gang. In the second message it is written – Life cannot be saved without managing brother. Arrange 50 lakhs. Baghmara DSP Nisha Murmu said that Pramod Singh has complained about demanding extortion. The call came from a virtual number from the Internet. Legal action will be taken after detecting the number.
