Audacity: The cab driver raped the woman going to her maternal home

After registering a case, the police is searching for the accused.

A case of raping a woman sitting in a cab on her way to her maternal home in Delhi has come to light. The accused carried out the crime by snatching the woman’s mobile and purse. Late night after the incident, the accused dropped him at the Delhi-Gurugram border and fled. The victim narrated the ordeal to her husband. Going to DLF Phase-2 police station along with husband and giving a complaint to the police has filed a case. The police is investigating the matter. The woman, originally from Alwar Rajasthan, lives with the family in Sector-57. She works in a well-known showroom in a mall located on MG Road. On Tuesday night, after finishing her duty, she left for Delhi at around 8.15 pm to go to her maternal home. She informed her husband about it. The woman told the police that she was sitting in the cab off MG Road. As soon as the cab was moving, the driver took her mobile and purse and started molesting her. The accused took her to a secluded place, where she raped her in the cab. After the incident, the accused gave his mobile and purse to him and dropped him at Delhi’s Aya Nagar border and left. Late in the night, the victim called her ordeal and told her husband. As soon as the information was received, the husband reached the spot and took the victim to the police station. A case has been registered by giving a complaint. At the same time, DLF Phase-2 station in-charge refused to say anything in the matter.
