NEW DELHI: Bajaj Auto is readying the Pulsar 250 on a brand-new platform, a company top official said.
Pulsar brand, one of the longest-running motorcycle nameplates, will complete 20 years in the market in November.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary, Bajaj Auto will introduce the Pulsar 250, which the company’s managing director Rajiv Bajaj calls ‘the biggest Pulsar made’.
Rajiv Bajaj, in an interview with CNBC, said, “On the 20th anniversary of the Pulsar, in November of this year, we are set to launch the all-new Pulsar platform. This will be the biggest Pulsar we have ever made.”
“I won’t say exactly how big and then, of course, that platform will, over the next 12 months work its way down all the way to the smallest Pulsars that we make. So, so, that is our biggest product move in the near future,” Rajiv Bajaj was quoted.
The motorcycle was delayed due to Covid-induced restrictions. Multiple test mules caught on the road suggest both naked and faired versions of Pulsar 250 will be introduced.
While details are awaited, the Pulsar 250 may share its engine and underpinnings with the Dominar 250 and yet be one of the most affordable offerings in the segment.
