  • In view of the corona infection, the government took the decision

This year also Rath Yatra will not come out in Ranchi. The state government has taken this decision in view of the corona infection. Along with this, Jagannathpur Temple Trust Committee has been informed about this. In this regard, Sushil Kumar, Special Officer cum Deputy Secretary, Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department has written a letter to the working president of the trust, Ram Kumar Kataria, informing about the rejection of the application for taking out the Rath Yatra. Here, the eye donation ritual of Lord Jagannath will be held on Sunday, but devotees will not be able to participate in it.

It is noteworthy that Kataria had filed a public interest litigation in the High Court seeking permission to take out Rath Yatra in Ranchi. During the hearing on Friday, the High Court had said that in view of the present situation, the state government should take its own decision. If the government allows the temple committee to take out the yatra with the servants, then the prescribed conditions issued by the Supreme Court will have to be followed literally.

God will not go to Maisibari, will be worshiped outside the temple

Naveen Nath Shahdev, the first servant of Jagannathpur temple, said that due to Corona, this time also permission has not been given to take out the Rath Yatra. For this reason, following the Kovid guideline like last year, the law and order will be adopted. On July 12, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra will not go to Mausibari. The deity will be brought outside the temple and made to sit. Aarti will be performed 108 times after the worship. After the distribution of flowers and offerings, the deity will then be taken inside the temple.
