  • Show Cause Notice To 7 Big Private Hospitals For Not Installing Oxygen Plant, Warning To Cancel License Of Kovid Care Center

The administration has issued show-cause notices to 7 private hospitals who were negligent in setting up oxygen plants amid the threat of the third wave of corona epidemic. These include Sharanjit, Kidney, Sikka, Oxford, Ghai, Neuronova and Caremax Hospital. The administration had instructed them to set up a PSA based oxygen plant but they did not accept it. During the second wave of Corona, more than 50 oxygen cylinders were consumed daily in their hospitals and they were asked to set up oxygen plants by August 2021.

DC Ghanshyam Thori said that in view of the next wave of corona, no effort was made on behalf of these hospitals to set up a plant to meet their oxygen requirement. Therefore, if they do not follow the guidelines of the administration, then the health department will be written to cancel the license of their Kovid care facilities as well. Apart from this, if someone dies due to lack of oxygen in his hospital, then he will also be held responsible for this. He himself will be responsible for arranging the stock of oxygen for himself.
