Amidst many restrictions due to Corona crisis in the country, the Gujarat government has approved the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. However, the organizers will have to strictly follow the Corona protocol. Jagannath Rath Yatra will be taken out on its own time on 12th July. Let us tell you, due to Corona, the Rath Yatra could not be organized last year.

These rules have to be followed
There will be a curfew in the city from which the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will take place. People pulling the Rath Yatra will have to show the RTPCR report 48 hours in advance to the administration. Akhadas, bhajan troupes, trucks and other vehicles running with the chariot will not take part in it. Apart from this, everyone will have to strictly follow the corona rules. Wearing of mask will be mandatory.

Minister of State for Home Pradeepsinh Jadeja made this announcement today. He said that Rath Yatra would be taken out along with imposition of curfew on the entire route. Also Prasad will not be distributed. All devotees will have to do online darshan only. All the bridges connecting the East and West zones will remain closed till the morning Rath Yatra leaves and returns. People living on the way will not be able to call the guests home. Only 5 vehicles will be present in the Rath Yatra.

Curfew will remain in these areas
There will be curfew in Gaikwad Haveli, Khadia, Kalupur, Shaharkotda, Dariyapur, Shahpur, Madhavpura police station areas on the Rath Yatra route.
