  • Question on investigation of black marketing case of Remdesivir
  • Chief Justice said – the facts which are coming, there is some wrong

The High Court has expressed dissatisfaction over the ongoing investigation into the black marketing case of Remdesivir injection. At the same time, the government has been asked that when the High Court is monitoring this case, how was the charge sheet filed without informing the court? Why was the information not given to the High Court before making the accused an official witness? The bench of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad was hearing the matter on Thursday.

Expressing displeasure over the investigation of the SIT committee, the court said that the statement made in the record prepared during the investigation is not correct. It is also not clear in the investigation report whether the CID is investigating this matter or the SIT. The Chief Justice said in the oral remarks that the facts which are coming out, it seems that there is something wrong in it. Earlier, the investigator of the case told the court that a person has been made a government witness.

For some reason ADG Anil Palta, who is heading the SIT, did not appear. He informed the court about this. It is noteworthy that during the Corona period, the High Court took seriously the matter of disappearance and black marketing of essential medicines including Remdesivir. Taking suo motu cognizance, inquiry was ordered.
