A case of breach of police records through mobile app has come to the fore. A young man from Bhiwani edited an FIR lodged in the Sadar police station through the app and sent the edited FIR to the PG operator asking for extortion of Rs 1.5 lakh. The accused also made the ID card of the crime branch through the app. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the PG operator.

Monu Sihag, a resident of Mahendragarh, told that his JMD is PG on New Railway Road. In this, a young man, resident of Panipat, Bijendra rented the room and gave 5500 rupees in advance. After staying for a week, Bijendra returned after talking about the death of his grandmother and called the PG operator to return the money. PG Director Monu refused to return the money.

It is alleged that on the morning of July 6, an FIR of Sadar police station came on Monu Sihag’s mobile, in which a case was registered against Monu. In this, Monu was accused of kidnapping including cheating. Along with this FIR, a crime branch ID card on Monu’s mobile was in Sitaram’s name. When Monu got suspicious, he checked his record and the photo in the ID card was of Bijendra.

On this, Monu contacted the Sadar police station. In the preliminary investigation, the police found that the Sadar police station whose FIR number 424 was edited and sent to Monu was registered by the police under the Excise Act. On this, the police registered a case regarding fraudulently demanding extortion from the PG operator and manipulating police records. The investigation of the case was handed over to ASI Harikishan. They have arrested the accused and taken him on remand of one day from the court.
