On the complaint of a woman, the Phase-11 police station has registered a case against her husband and father-in-law under sections 406, 498A of IPC. But no arrest has been made in this case so far. The accused have been identified as Mandeep Singh and his father Narendra Singh. Both father and son live in house number-396 of Greater Kailash Division-1 Commissionerate Punjab, Jalandhar.
This FIR has been registered on the instructions of SSP Satinder Singh after taking the opinion of DA Legal after investigation. In the complaint given to the SSP, the victim told that shortly after the marriage, her husband Mandeep started harassing her for bringing less dowry.
