Dr. Chandna told that a dentist does all the studies regarding the body that an MBBS doctor does.
In view of the possible third wave of corona in the country, the Dental Council of India (DCI) has urged the Union Health Ministry to appoint dentists present across the country in view of the third wave of Kovid. The DCI has said that the appointment of dentists will be an effective step towards better treatment of corona patients.
For this, DCI also demanded a bridge course of very short duration for dentists so that they can work as experts to deal with the problems faced during Corona and deal with them. Dr. Anil Chandna, Executive Member, DCI said that as the number of patients had increased during both the waves of Corona, there was a shortage of doctors. He told that if the third wave of corona comes, then there will be a need to increase the number of doctors in large numbers. which cannot be increased suddenly.
Central and state government can meet the shortage of doctors by employing 35-40 thousand dental surgeons or dentists in India for covid treatment. Dr. Chandna told that a dentist does all the studies regarding the body that an MBBS doctor does.
