The district administration has prepared a list of 8 children orphaned due to corona epidemic in Gurgaon. According to the report, both the parents of 8 children have died due to corona in the district. There are 20 children in the district, whose mother or father has died. The report has reached the Child Welfare Department in this regard.
At the same time, on behalf of the district administration, preparations are being made on behalf of the state government as per rules to help such children. While a total of 919 people have died due to corona in the district so far. The state government has announced the Bal Seva Scheme for the children who were orphaned during the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Under this scheme, the government will give financial assistance of Rs 2500 every month for 18 years to the children orphaned due to corona infection. Apart from this, 12 thousand rupees will also be given to these children every year for other expenses. Children who do not have any family members to take care of them, they will be looked after by the child care institutions and the child care institution will also be provided assistance of Rs 1500 per child per month till the age of 18 years.
This amount will be deposited in the bank account in the form of term deposit and the maturity amount will be given to the child on attaining the age of 21 years. The number of corona infected in Gurgaon also increased rapidly in the months of April and May. In the month of April, where 59919 people were found positive, in the month of May this figure was 57012.
In such a situation, out of the total 180749 positive cases found so far, more than 60 percent positive cases were found in these two months. Talking about the deaths, a total of 112 people died in the month of April, while 343 people died in the month of May. While 919 people have died due to corona in the district so far.
Children home ready for orphan children
Children’s home has been prepared in Sector-15 Part-2 for the children orphaned by Corona. Boys up to the age of ten years and girls below the age of 18 years will be kept in this. District Child Welfare Officer Virendra Yadav said that as soon as the information about the orphaned children is received, the children will be kept in this children’s home. Six new cases were found in the last 24 hours, two people died
The pace of corona infection in the district has undoubtedly reduced, but the death toll is not decreasing. On Friday also, six new cases were found in the district, while seven patients recovered and returned home. At the same time, the number of active cases has come down to 90, out of which now only 4 patients are admitted in hospitals.
