The Lama said- I want to assure you that I am committed to reviving ancient Indian wisdom for the rest of my life.

The Dalai Lama, the supreme spiritual leader of Tibetans, on the occasion of his 86th birthday, thanked virtually everyone for the birthday wishes received from every corner of the world.

The Dalai Lama said- I’m just a human. Many people pretend they love me. A lot of people really love my smile. Despite my age, I have a beautiful face. Many people actually have true friendships with me.

It’s my birthday, I want to express my gratitude to all my friends who have really shown love, respect and faith. I can assure you that I am committed to serve humanity for the rest of my life and work to protect the climate conditions.

Ever since I became a refugee and settled in India, I have taken full advantage of India’s freedom and religious harmony. I want to assure you that I am committed to reviving ancient Indian wisdom for the rest of my life.

I will remain committed to non-violence and compassion till my death. This is a gift from me to my friends. All my brothers and sisters should keep these two things in mind – non-violence and compassion… On my birthday, this is my gift.’

PM congratulates

On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi also congratulated the Dalai Lama on his birthday. Prime Minister Modi tweeted that he spoke to the Dalai Lama on the phone and wished him on his 86th birthday.
