BJP Youth Front leader and former mayor was attacked in Nanded on Wednesday night. In this, two assailants opened fire on former Mayor Sonu Kalyankar. Today the CCTV video of the incident has surfaced. It can be clearly seen in the video that two people are reaching the gate of the house and firing bullets. According to the Nanded Police, Sonu Kalyankar, former city president of BJP Yuva Morcha, was sitting at the gate of his house in Srinagar area of ​​the city at 9 pm. Around nine o’clock in the night, three people on a bike came in front of his house. Two of them have shot Sonu from close range. However, during the firing, Sonu escaped inside the house after saving his life. Unknown assailants fired a total of 3 bullets.

After the incident, Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar Shewale visited the spot and formed a team to trace the culprits. Locals say that some local criminals opened fire to create panic in the area. As of now, there is no clue of the attackers. Even in the pictures captured in the camera, the faces are not clear.
