Under Mukhyamantri Gram Kaushal Yojana, 140 trainees will be given training in 28 trades in 12 development blocks of Shimla district in the year 2021-22. Presiding over the meeting of the scheme, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi said that the duration of this scheme would be 3 to 6 months depending on the trade. During this, the trainees will be provided Rs 3,000 per month on the basis of the duration of the training programme.

Out of this amount, 75 percent amount will be given during the course period and remaining 25 percent amount will be given on completion of training period. He said that the main objectives of Mukhyamantri Gram Kaushal Yojana are capacity building, modernizing/exchanging traditional skills, identifying traditional craftsmen and artisans, motivating youth to learn these arts/skills, providing training and marketing through various mediums.
