  • Graded response action plan passed in DDMA meeting

The Graded Response Action Plan has been passed in the meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) held on Friday. That is, there will be no doubt in the future about when the lockdown will take place and for what time during the lockdown.

In the DDMA meeting, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal discussed the Delta Plus variant with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. LG Baijal presided over the 22nd meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority. Apart from Kejriwal, Chief Secretary of Delhi, Dr VK Paul from NITI Aayog, Dr Balram Bhargava from ICMR and other senior officials were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation was also given to the officials in ICMR and Health Department regarding the current situation of Corona. During the meeting, Kejriwal said that we have to stop the Delta Plus variant from spreading in Delhi, for which the Delhi government is taking all possible steps.

During the meeting of DDMA, the new variants of Corona, Delta Plus and Lambda variants were discussed. In which officials said that the third wave of corona can be avoided only through vaccination, genome sequencing, testing, tracking and surveillance. For which the Delhi government is taking all possible steps. Setting up of 2 Genome Sequencing Labs in Delhi is a step in this direction.

At the same time, the number of patients recovering is also increasing in comparison to the infected patients. The recovery rate from Corona in Delhi remains more than 98 percent. According to the Health Department of Delhi, 81 new cases were reported on Friday. At the same time 127 patients were discharged, while 3 patients died due to corona.

So far 1434954 people have been infected in Delhi. Of these, 1409145 patients were cured, while 25011 patients died due to corona.
