Now only 8 days are left, till now the corporation has not started the action.
Debris removal work continued in Khori Colony for the second day on Friday. But the municipal corporation could not initiate the demolition action. Only 8 days are left for the submission of the status report in the Supreme Court. In such a situation, the question arises whether the Municipal Corporation will be able to fully comply with the order of the court in such a short time. Because looking at the number of houses built in the colony, this is not possible. According to the corporation officials, at least one month time is required to complete the demolition action. On the other hand, the process of exit of the affected people from the colony has intensified.
Corporation is now picking up the debris of the old demolition
The municipal administration is engaged in lifting the debris of the demolition done earlier. On Friday, a dozen JCBs and trucks were used to lift a huge amount of debris. Also the land was levelled. On the other hand, about 20 scraps are reaching Khori and buying old items from the people. Along with this, a large number of people doing this work also reached there to buy old building materials. Most of the people were seen taking off their own tin sheds and other items from their homes. Let us inform that as per the order of the Supreme Court, the illegal encroachment is to be removed by the Municipal Corporation by July 18. For this, continuous funding is being made in the administration area. So that people themselves leave the area and leave. On Friday also, Corporation Commissioner Dr Garima Mittal, DC Yashpal and DCP NIT Dr Anshu Singla visited Khori Colony several times and directed the people to comply with the order of the court.
