  • Question raised on Delhi government’s tender for bus purchase

The BJP has challenged the Delhi government to make public the report of the high committee set up by the Center in public, accusing it of falsely propagating to hide its corruption. In this regard, in a press conference with BJP State President Adesh Gupta, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Ramveer Singh Bidhuri and MLA Vijender Gupta, it has been said that there has been a scam in bus purchase, it should be investigated by ACB. In this case, the Aam Aadmi Party is defending itself by spreading the report.

BJP will protest at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s house in bus scam and BJP’s agitation will continue till the arrest of Transport Minister. In this matter, Vijender Gupta has said that he said that the three-member committee constituted by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has said in its report that there is no prima facie corruption regarding the whole matter, but again citing ‘procedural lapses’ in the process. It is advised to tender, it is clear that corruption has happened and this is the biggest proof of corruption.

He said that the high level committee has not only examined the bus purchase but also examined the tender of AMC being done for three years for the maintenance of buses. The committee has asked the Delhi government to stop the AMC being done for the maintenance of 3500 crore buses, saying that it is non-essential.

Gupta said that the committee has also questioned the global tender for procurement of buses and said that more companies should be given opportunity to participate in the tender. According to the report, the tender was prepared in such a way that only two companies would participate in the tender and both would get the work on the basis of L1, L2.
