- Property was acquired from illegal drug trade
The police have seized movable and property worth 90.61 lakhs acquired in illegal drug trade from three accused. The matter has been sent to the ED for further action. These accused include Deepak Kumar son Darshan Singh resident of New Shanti Nagar Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Jaswinder Singh son Dilbag Singh resident of Polian Beet (Haroli) and Vijay Kumar alias Ghami son Laxman Das resident of Beeton (Haroli).
According to SP Arjit Sen Thakur, these accused have seized movable and immovable property acquired from illegal drug trade during the last four-five years and the case has been sent to the ED for verification. 76,66,985 from Deepak, Rs 5.50 of Jaswinder Singh and Rs 8,44,316 from Vijay Kumar alias Ghami.
On May 31, 2020, a case was registered at Haroli police station under the NDPS Act. Now the financial investigation by DSP Haroli was carried out against the accused. The matter has been sent to the ED for further action.
